分院帽是《哈利·波特系列》中的一件架空的道具。
简介
分院帽是霍格沃茨四巨头之一的戈德里克·格兰芬多的两件遗物之一，原本是格兰芬多的巫师帽，在被四巨头各自注入了一部分思想后，开始为霍格沃茨一年级新生分院。
四个学院分别是：格兰芬多学院、赫奇帕奇学院、拉文克劳学院、斯莱特林学院
帽子本身还是一个传送装置，只能传送一件东西：格兰芬多的另一件遗物，格兰芬多宝剑。
细节
- 分院帽是一顶巨大的帽子，打了许多补丁，帽檐旁边的裂缝是它的嘴。
- 显然，四巨头在这顶帽子上施了什么咒使分院帽能长期保存，但从此不能被用魔咒修补。
- 奇怪的是，身为纯血统家族的罗恩·韦斯莱，入学前却不知道分院帽的存在。
- 1995年它唱道：“我们的霍格沃茨面临着危险，校外的仇敌正虎视眈眈。我们的内部必须紧密团结，不然一切就会从内部瓦解。我已对你们直言相告，我已为你们拉响警报……”因此分院帽似乎有预测未来的能力，并十分关心学校状况，不希望学校分裂。
- 分院帽能传送（而不是里面藏着）格兰芬多剑：《死亡圣器》中拉环已经拿走剑，但却被纳威抽出来杀死纳吉尼。
- 带上分院帽超过五分钟才被划分学院的新生会被称为“哈斯托”。
- 分院帽分院时，看重的是学生想去哪里，最适合哪里则会被放到第二位。
- 分院帽唱的大概是其他人对各个学院的刻板印象——例如斯莱特林都是纯血。
- 在极少数情况下，分院帽的分院结果会被人喷，如阿不思·西弗勒斯·波特被分到斯莱特林。
