Morfonicais a character in "BanG Dream!》and its derivative works, it is the seventh girls' band in the GBP universe and the fourth real band under the project. The band's representative color is#33AAFFand#D1ECFF。
Introduction
A girls' band formed by classmates from the prestigious girls' school, Tsukinomori Girls' Academy.
They continue their activities in hopes of one day shining on their own stage. Characterized by songs woven with a fantasy worldview, they gently envelop the audience in their world during performances.
The surnames of Morfonica members are all derived from place names in Shinagawa Ward, Tokyo. The "f" in the icon resembles the f-hole on a violin; f is also a common musical notation meaning forte (strong).
History
The earliest opportunity for Morfonica's appearance can be traced back to March 16, 2019. Inthe BanG Dream! mobile game's2nd anniversary, Mashiro Kurata first appeared as a mysterious passing girl (named ???) in Episode 8 of Main Story Season 2, and reappeared in Episode 15 where her name was revealed. According to the game data mining of version 3.0 at the time, Mashiro's resource ID was 026, immediately following the 25 members of the five main bands.
In the data mining files from the Japanese server update on February 10, 2020, post-Live voices for 4 new characters appeared; including Mashiro Kurata, the surnames of all five are place names in Shinagawa Ward, Tokyo. Subsequently, new band members also appeared in the main story and the GBP 3rd anniversary promotional images, among which the 3rd anniversary promotional image also featuredRAISE A SUILEN'sCHU²Yukina: Why is there another cat behind me.jpg. On February 28, the Live 2D models, loading screen introduction images, and chibi sprites for the five members of the band "Morfonica" appeared in the data mining files of the mobile game's version 4.0, with IDs 26–30, following the five main bands. With the emergence of various information, players, regarding whether a new band would be implemented for the mobile game's 3rd anniversary, the specific implementation plan,and whether the official staff was teasing the players,conducted various kinds of speculations.

On March 1st'sHello Happy CiRCLE StationThe live stream officially announced the debut of the new bands Morfonica and RAS: Morfonica joined the mobile game on March 16, along with the band's story, original and cover songs, MVs, and 1-4 star cards. After the stream, the official website for the band and the first song "Daylight -Daylight-" preview MV.
On March 5, Episode 6 of the 3rd season of the anime aired in Japan, and the Morfonica commercial MV included in it added voice actor information and performance footage for the 5 characters.
On March 16, the 3rd anniversary of the Japanese server, they were officially implemented. During the live broadcast, it was announced that their first performance "Prelude"
On May 7, the mini-anime "BanG Dream! Girls Band Party!☆PICO ~Ohmori~" aired, and Morfonica made their first anime appearance in the seventh episode.
On August 23, Morfonica made their first stage appearance at the project's concertBanG_Dream!_8th_LIVE_DAY3:Special_Live_Summerly_Tone. After that, Morfonica 1st Live "Cantabile" was successfully held in October.
During the Hello Happy Circle Broadcast on September 20, the official new visual for the movieBanG Dream! FILM LIVE 2nd Stagewas released, confirming that Morfonica will also make their first appearance in the main anime series.
On July 28-29, 2022, the special main story anime series featuring Morfonica as the protagonists, "Morfonication" was broadcast.[2]

- ↑ Morpho is a genus of butterflies in the tribe Morphini of the subfamily Satyrinae within the family Nymphalidae. Morpho butterflies are also known as Morpho, Blue Morpho, etc. There are 30 species in total, famous for the magnificent iridescent blue on their wings, which flashes dazzlingly during flight, making them highly prized by butterfly collectors.
