《Fate/strange Fake》is a light novel created byand illustrated byNarita Ryōgo森井しづき.
Original Work Introduction
It was initially adapted from the material of 《Fate/stay night》 and was also a 2008 April Fools' Day project. It later became an official spin-off work.
The first volume of the novel and manga was released on January 10, 2015. In December 2019, to promote the release of novel volume 6, aTV commercialwas produced.
All volumes of the novel were published under the supervision and revision ofKinoko Nasu.
Synopsis
Mages, in pursuit of the wish-granting device known as the Holy Grail that can fulfill any desire,
summon Heroic Spirits to compete against each other in a battle royale—the Holy Grail War.
Several years after the conclusion of the Fifth Holy Grail War held on Japanese soil,
the next conflict emerges in Snowfield, a city in the western United States.
—That is a Holy Grail War filled with falsehood.
Mages and Heroic Spirits gathered upon a false stage.
Even knowing full well that this is a false Holy Grail War—they continue to dance upon it nonetheless.
Truth and falsehood lie on the distant shore.

- The Japanese version's first three volumes were published byKADOKAWA/ASCII Media Works, and from the fourth volume onward by KADOKAWA.
- The Traditional Chinese version is published under license byTaiwan Kadokawa.
- The Simplified Chinese version is distributed under license byTianwen Kadokawa. Volumes 1 and 2 were published by Wanjuan Publishing Company, volumes 3 and 4 by Guangdong Tourism Publishing House, and volumes 5 and 6 by New Star Press.

On September 24, 2022, the production of the special anime "Fate/strange Fake -Whispers of Dawn-" was announced at "Aniplex Online Fest 2022". It was originally scheduled to air on December 31, 2022, but was later announced to be delayed until July 2, 2023 due to production reasons.
On July 1, 2023 (Beijing Time), the production of a TV anime series was announced at "ANIME EXPO 2023".
On September 16, 2024, it was announced at "Aniplex Online Fest 2024" that the latest episode would air at the end of the year.
On November 24, 2024, the English dub of Episode 1 "Heroic Spirit Incident" was premiered on Crunchyroll, and it was announced that the Japanese dub would air on December 31, 2024, during the "Fate Project Ōmisoka Special 2024" special program.
A preview for Episode 2 was released on December 31, 2024, and the series anime began airing on January 3, 2026.
