History
- He was scouted as a child after saving people during a disaster and was supported and trained to become a hero. He established his own agency at age 18 and broke into the top ten of the rankings at the time. He became No. 2 at age 22, making him the first hero in history to enter the top ten in his teens.
- After the new Hero Billboard Chart JP was released, he arrived at the live broadcast site with other heroes. On stage, he criticized the other top ten heroes for clinging to the past and staying stagnant, arguing that approval ratings are more important than vote counts. Backstage, he told Endeavor that he believes people need a new symbol of hope; seeing Endeavor's speech, he expressed relief and praised him for being cool. He then requested Endeavor's assistance due to multiple rumors of Nomu sightings. Mid-discussion, they encountered a Nomu and defeated it together; his feathers were burned, and Endeavor's left face was injured.
- In the manga, Hawks spoke with Dabi of the League of Villains afterward. The conversation revealed that Hawks had infiltrated the League of Villains as an undercover agent at the government's request, and Dabi had released an upgraded Nomu as a way to test him.
- During his time undercover, he used codes to provide intelligence to Endeavor. In battle, he fought against Dabi and killed Twice. Dabi called out his real name, and he nearly died at Dabi's hands before being rescued by Tokoyami and sent to the rescue team for treatment.
