This work has won numerous awards including the Grand Prize of the "Manga Taisho2022", ranked 10th in the Male Category of "Kono Manga ga Sugoi!2022", and the Excellence Award in the Manga Division of the 25th Japan Media Arts Festival.

Synopsis
A World Revolution Sparked by Humans and Non-Humans
My friend is half human, half chimpanzee.
When the terrorist organization "Animal Liberation Alliance (ALA)" attacked a bioscience research institute, a pregnant female chimpanzee was rescued.
What she gave birth to was Charlie, a "chimpanzee-human" who is half human and half chimpanzee.
Charlie was raised by human foster parents for 15 years and entered high school.
There, Charlie meets Lucy, who is sharp-minded but mocked as a "gloomy person".
"Terrorist attacks," "public opinion," "discrimination"... The problems brought by humans are faced by Charlie, the "non-human," and Lucy together in this human & non-human drama.

Charlie(チャーリー)

A 15-year-old boy living in Missouri, USA.
Born through gene-editing technology, he is the world's only "chimpanzee-human"—half human and half chimpanzee—possessing intelligence surpassing humans and physical abilities exceeding chimpanzees. Though calm and self-assured, after enrolling in a local high school at age 15, he developed a strong interest in humans. On the other hand, having had almost no interaction with anyone other than his adoptive parents, Gilbert and Hannah, he occasionally says and does things that astonish those around him.
Lucy Eldred(ルーシー・エルドレッド)

A classmate of Charlie's attending Schurz High School.
Despite having a fearless personality, strong initiative, and being a sharp, top-performing student, she finds the interpersonal relationships in the town and high school tiresome. As a result, she has never actively sought connections with others. However, after being saved by Charlie when she fell from a tree, she developed a strong interest in him and began to form a deep bond.
