Related Terminology
- The surname "Akai" is homophonous with the Japanese word for "red". Although her name means "heart", its pronunciation is the Japanese transliteration of the English word "heart";
- Her birthday, August 10th, is also derived from the wordplay for "heart";
- When the Haato personality greets people, she adds the suffix "ルージュ(rouge)", which originates from French and means red. The opening line for the Haachama personality is "Haachama-chama」（はあちゃまちゃま）。
- Although she wanted viewers to call her "Haato-sama (はあと様)", in the spring of 2019 she wanted a new nickname. Through her own self-directed efforts, she gradually became known as "Haato-shama (はあちゃま)", which comes from imitating the slurred speech of infants, leading to all viewersage regressing-ification.[39]
- On September 9, 2020, Haachama simply changed the English part of her YouTube channel name from Haato to Haachama. Later, on January 11, 2021, she further changed the Japanese part and her Twitter name from "赤井はあと" to "はあちゃま」。

"Air Streaming"
- This happened in the early days when Akai Haato was streaming "Getting Over It with Bennett Foddy", she started the gameplay but forgot to start the actual stream, meaning the stream hadn't officially begun. On one hand, viewers in the waiting room wondering why the stream hadn't started began sending interactive comments simulating a live VTuber stream to pass the time, known as "Air Commentary" comments. On the other hand, seeing the "Air Commentary," Akai Haato thought her stream was proceeding normally, and as a result, she talked to herself for half an hour of "Air Streaming" before realizing the problem... She started crying while asking the audience when it had actually started... and then the same mistake happened again later.[47]。

- A chat series by Akai Haato, mainly telling various daily stories from her time in the virtual overseas, including some terrible daily occurrences. For example, the story of a dangerous person with a banana gun breaking into her school...[48]
"Chinese Lessons"
- Because she talked about Chinese in her streams and taught viewers how to pronounce Chinese with standard pronunciation.
Swear words, which accidentally went viral on Chinese websites through fan edits, causing a certain amount of reaction on Weibo and Bilibili. The standard pronunciation is rumored to have come from the teachings of a Chinese roommate. - However, the widely circulated Chinese-speaking

Dual Personality
- Due to Haachama's current performance being a far cry from her early debut days, viewers jokingly say that the original Haato was killed by a woman named Haachama. Later in February 2021, the original Haato reappeared in a Minecraft stream after a long absence, and viewers realized the original Haato hadn't died but coexisted with the Haachama personality. She then used this as a basis for her 1 million subscriber project, staging a fierce battle between Haato and Haachama, successfully causing her YouTube channel's subscriber count to grow rapidly.

- The 300,000 subscribers (hallucination) endurance stream held on March 13, 2020[52], where she played multiple Hololive members by herself and had a conversation with her "debu" personality.
- On March 13, 2020, she chose to challenge Getting Over It using her feet in an endurance stream. After "returning home" many times, she chose to switch to using her hands to prove herself before ending the stream, but still ended the stream in shame.[54]。
