A virtual girl band where each member is active in various fields such as live streaming and creation, not just live performances. Moving forward in the Mugen universe with free music that is not bound by frameworks.
This group, when recruiting members, used "
Compared to other virtual YouTuber projects, this project has a significant presence for the cast members themselves due to its cross-media integration. Live performances are conducted with the cast members appearing in person, and in solo concerts, they do not useincluding power-saving andvarious other means to block the face. However, prior to4th LIVE, content released on online platforms (including live streams, videos, photos, etc.) did not reveal full faces, mostly using masks, face covers, or hands for obstruction. Restrictions regarding appearance were lifted after the 4th LIVE.
In addition to offline activities, the band members regularly live stream on YouTube, covering a wide range of topics such as cover songs and game playthroughs,、etc.
Regarding the band's composition, this band unusually does not include traditional rhythm instruments such as bass and drums.Actually,Nakamachi Aralementioned during the audition that she wanted to be a drummer-vocalist, but it was ultimately not approved., instead, the DJ also serves as the manipulator (Mp.) who would normally be backstage, while the rest of the rhythm section is handled by the rhythm guitaristMinezuki Ritsu.

2022
- On July 22, the names and designs of the characters were announced, and recruitment for the cast members of a new virtual band began[2], where the cast members will perform live singing and playing instruments; it has not been confirmed whether they will belong to the GBP worldview.At that time, the recruitment conditions for cast members listed playing instruments as a recommended condition rather than a requirement, which sparked some discussion.
2023
- On November 9, more details were announced at the BanG Dream! Presentation 2024, declaring that the band Mugen-dai MewType would officially begin activities, including news of their 1st LIVE to be held in 2024. [3]
- On November 18, the members began their first live streams one after another, and as expected, on the very first daysomeonetechnical issues occurred, requiring the broadcast to be delayed by one day。
- On November 20, they released their first original single "Mugen Mousou Sekai》, and announced the production of original manga and mini-animations related to the song.[4]
2024
- On February 23, detailed information about the first concert was revealed during the group's fourth livestream, scheduled to be held on August 24 of that year.
- On August 2, it was announced during the group's tenth livestream that an official Bilibili account would be opened for posting official MVs. The first post on August 9 (the Chinese subtitled version of "夢現妄想世界") officially confirmed the Kanji characters for the project members' names in its description.
- On August 24, the 1st LIVE was held.「めたもるふおーぜ」, where the cast members appeared in an offline event for the first time, showing their full faces. The 1st single "コミュ着火Fire!》。
- On October 25, November 17, and December 20, regular performances were held in the form of semi-public rehearsals titled「ぷれぱれ〜しょん！」, with an additional performance on December 21.
- On October 27, the first live-action MV "新人類は仮想世界の夢を見るか？》。

- On January 13, participated in the Bushiroad New Year Grand Launch 2025, and at the morning venue held the 1st single "コミュ着火Fire!" sales event.
- Held a mini-concert during the BanG Dream! segment of the Grand Launch, which was their first live-streamed concert and the first time they revealed the lower half of their faces online.
- The band's main visual for the 10th-anniversary outfits was revealed.
- On June 7, vocalist Nakamachi Arare streamed on bilibili for the first time.
- On September 7, atMugen-dai MewType 4th LIVEduring the free online live stream, the full faces were officially revealed online, and the TV anime "BanG Dream! YUME∞MITA》will be broadcast within 2026.
2026
- On January 12, they participated in the Bushiroad New Year Grand Presentation 2026, and it was announced that 《BanG Dream! YUME∞MITA》 is officially scheduled for that summer. Subsequently, it was announced that the band, along withMyGO!!!!!and four other bands, will be implemented in the new mobile game 《BanG Dream! Intertwining Melodies》。

The innocent and soft-natured guitarist of Mugendai MewType. Loved by everyone, she is a free and happy mood maker. Once on stage, she can bring the audience into the world of music through her performance while enjoying the music herself to the fullest.
Her surname is taken from the former Nezu Miyanaga-cho (now located in Nezu 2-chome) in Bunkyo Ward. Her headpiece is rabbit ears.

A serious honor student. A rhythm guitarist who calmly supports the music of Mugen-dai MewType. Perhaps due to that seriousness, she occasionally takes actions that exceed everyone's expectations. Her appetite is the greatest among the members of Mugen-dai.
Her surname is taken from Minetsukizaka, located between Nishikata 2-chome and Hakusan 1-chome in Bunkyo Ward. Her headwear features bear ears.

An active manga artist who also serves as the keyboardist for Mugen-dai MewType. Her surname is taken from Fujizaka in Kohinata 4-chome, Bunkyo Ward. Her headwear features dog ears.

The chill DJ & Manipulator of Mugendai MewType. As the core of Mugendai's music, she controls the rhythm of the entire band. Usually a shut-in otaku, she is always cool and indifferent when interacting with others, but she actually has a loyal and compassionate side.
Her surname is taken from Sengoku in Bunkyo Ward. Her headpiece features ferret ears.

Unlike other bands, most of Mugen-dai MewType's songs are not handled by Elements Garden or SUPA LOVE. Additionally, since the band lacks rhythm instruments and relies on synthesizers for rhythm, their musical style differs from other BanG Dream! bands. The arrangements are more aggressive as they don't need to accommodate rhythm instrument performances, making the overall sound closer toVOCALOIDor Denpa style.
The lyrics mostly explore the members' "dreams" or even "fantasies," and sometimes contain content that is unsettling upon closer reflection.
It is worth mentioning that Mugen-dai MewType is the only band in the project where the cast members can directly participate in the lyrics and music.In a sense, it realizedAimi's wish
