Duqare,is the game《TRIALS of MANA》and its derivative works.

First Form
Second Form

The Sanguinarch Duq'arael, the leader of the Vampires within the Sarkaz Royal Court.
His appearance and speech are like those of an elegant and noble young man, but in reality, he is cruel and bloodthirsty, loves the taste of blood, looks down on other races, and is extremely arrogant even toward his own kin.
He possesses Originium Arts that manipulate blood, capable of giving life to blood to form Originium Arts constructs, and can also perform twisted modifications on living and non-living things through "blessings." Even Warfarin, a fellow Vampire, feels terror toward the Sanguinarch.
He is extremely powerful; he acted alongside the Damazti Cluster to raid the Windermere army, killing the Duke of Windermere with incredible speed. In his youth, with the assistance of his clansmen, he severely wounded a powerful Feranmut. In reality, Ursula did not resist, allowing the Sanguinarch to strip away her consciousness and divide it into several parts for safekeeping, and this Feranmut is even still alive.。
The English title for the "Sanguinarch" combines the word "sanguine" (meaning "blood-red") and the Latin suffix "-arch" (meaning "monarch, leader"), which aligns with the title "The Crimson Sovereign."
Duqare's real name seems to be derived from the most famous vampire in literary history,Dracula,(Dracula) as a misspelling; the experience of killing his elder brother might also allude to another famous vampire, Cain—in the Bible, Cain was punished by God for killing his younger brother Abel.
Early LifeDuqare was born at least five hundred years ago. His elder brother was once designated as the Lord of Fiends by "The Crown." However, dissatisfied with his brother's mildness and cowardice, Duqare killed him alone, despised the vision he projected before death, and absorbed the blood of the Teekaz; nevertheless, Duqare himself was not chosen as the new Lord of Fiends. At some point in the past, Duqare severely wounded the Feranmut Ursulla while it was sleepwalking and offering no resistance. He flayed its skin and flesh, then split it into several pieces to be sealed in different locations. SideStory "Babel"After the War of the Four Nations, Duqare met with several other Court Lords in Kazdel to discuss the reorganization of the Military Council with Theresa and Theresis. Duqare believed the reorganization was unnecessary and mocked the other Court Lords, but the Nachzehrer King, through Theresa, showed Duqare scenes of the War of the Four Nations and the new forms of warfare, convincing him to lead the Sanguine Court in joining the Military Council. He gathered in Londinium along with other Court leaders of the Military Council. Disliking the murky air there, Duqare "requisitioned" a factory and slaughtered the people inside to consume their blood. After Rhodes Island arrived in Londinium, Duqare, in order to personally meet the one acting as the "Lord of Fiends,"Amiyacame to the Resistance's underground base. Although he did not find Amiya (who was confronting Manfred on the high wall at the time), he brutally killed many Resistance warriors and further droveSiegethe Glasgow Gang led by Vina into a corner, mocking that the Aslan blood in Vina's body was no different from Feline blood. Ultimately, Vina and the others successfully escaped with the help of Logos. Duqare returned to the Court army's base in resentment, telling the Confessarius that the appearance of Logos, the Banshee King, was unexpected. He mocked Manfred for being useless for failing to capture Amiya, but concealed the fact that he had seen Vina, the Crown Princess of Victoria. The first thing Duqare did after arriving in the Oaktree District was to conduct a massive purge of many local nobles, including the Cumberland family; Allerdale Cumberland's mansion was burned down by the Sanguinarch. He met with Lieutenant Colonel Leto, the commander of the Londinium City Defense Force, and used his majesty to force this Gallic remnant to submit to him. When Rhodes Island teamed up with the Self-Salvation Corps to attack the City Defense Force command tower, Duqare confronted Logos head-on. The two Royal Court leaders were locked in a fierce battle. Enraged by Logos, the Sanguinarch manipulated his spawn to flood the entire battlefield; even his ally Manfred, who was also on the battlefield, was briefly trapped by the sea of blood controlled by the Sanguinarch. Just as the King of the Nachzehrers was about to arrive on the battlefield, Rhodes Island chose to retreat, but a powerful force invaded the minds of every Sarkaz present. Seeing that Amiya's mind was also affected by the out-of-control power like other Sarkaz, Duqare rebuked her, saying she was unworthy of being the Sarkaz's Lord of Fiends because she had never tried to understand the essence of the Sarkaz, nor the reasons for the anger of the Sarkaz who had lost their homes. After Rhodes Island retreated, Duqare pursued Logos and Ascalon but failed to catch up. To kidnap Amiya and assassinate the Duke of Windermere, Duqare joined forces with the Confessors and the newborn Damazti Cluster to board the high-speed warship that had just evacuated from the Norport District. During this time, the Damazti Cluster mimicked Duqare's appearance to attack the Duke of Windermere and her sword guards. After being exposed by Windermere's daughter, Delphine, the real Duqare appeared and besieged Windermere alongside the Damazti Cluster. He further distracted Windermere by sneak-attacking Delphine, severely wounding the Duke. Windermere eventually died from her injuries, and Duqare and the Damazti Cluster evacuated the warship after the Confessors successfully kidnapped Amiya. However, Duqare did not stop there; he set up numerous witchcraft circles, attempting to use them for a ritual to awaken the hidden bloodlines of the Sarkaz and prepare them for the upcoming war. Before starting the final ritual, he summoned Lieutenant Colonel Leto and easily subdued him when Leto tried to attack. While under control, Leto chose to commit suicide and splashed his blood onto Duqare to insult him, but Duqare remained indifferent. Theresis was dissatisfied with Duqare's attitude of staying aloof from the Royal Court army, but Duqare stated he was fighting for the entire race, not for the Theresis siblings. Since the most critical circle of the witchcraft ritual was attacked by the Victorian resistance, Theresis sent Duqare aboard the "Spine of Life," a vessel modified from Ursula's remains, to Brentwood where the circle was located. During this time, he scolded the commander of the "Spine of Life,"UrsulaMajor, and saw some past memories while the "Spine of Life" was sailing through the turbulence of history. Upon reaching the final destination of the "Spine of Life," Logos and Amiya also boarded the vessel and encountered Duqare. Duqare used their attacks to release the Teekaz blood within him, completing the final step of the witchcraft ritual. With his latent bloodline awakened and his power significantly increased, Duqare engaged in a decisive battle with Logos and Amiya atop the "Spine of Life" as it sailed through the torrent of space-time. During the battle, Amiya questioned Duqare's view of blood, rejecting his vision of blood as a symbol of death rather than life, rejecting his Royal Court, and further rejecting his idea of pinning the future on the past and attempting to reshape Kazdel through hatred. After unleashing the power of her rings, she brought down the Lord of Fiends' judgment upon the arrogant Sanguinarch with a supreme spell. Severely wounded by Amiya, Duqare recounted his experience of killing his brother to seize his blood and his disdain for the Black Crown. After absorbing all his spilled blood back into his body, he allowed himself to become a marionette of his own blood and continued to fight the two,Hoederer、WandInesburst into the battlefield in time, and together with Amiya and Logos, knocked Duqare off the "Spine of Life," sending him falling into the turbulence of history. Duqare felt pleased that Amiya and Logos had ultimately accepted the true power within their bloodlines, and further declared that the ritual he had set up in Londinium was complete before disappearing into the space-time turbulence.
The Court of the Sanguinarchs remains, but Duqarell has fallen into an unknown land and can no longer pose any threat to Amiya and the others. |
