"Moonlight Lady"(Japanese:顔のない月) is aORBITFranchiseROOTA Japanese romance adventure game released on December 22, 2000,adult games, it is the company's debut work. Multiple versions were later released, along with the Fandisc "Suzuna Nikki" and "Moonlight Lady Select Story"[1]. The story mainly follows the events involving the heroine Suzuna Kuraki and her fiancé, the protagonist Koichi Hayama, at the secluded Kuraki estate. It was later adapted intoAdult Animation, released by Pink Pineapple.
Original Work Introduction
The protagonist, Koichi Hayama, is a distant relative of the prestigious Kuraki family in Shinshu.
In the summer after his foster parents passed away in a car accident, he followed their last wishes and came to the Kuraki estate deep in the mountains.
During his first visit to the luxurious mansion in over ten years, a beautiful widow suddenly told him a surprising fact—Koichi is the fiancé of her daughter Suzuna and the next head of the Kuraki family.
The sudden engagement surprised Suzuna, and the beautiful bride was unwilling to follow Koichi's orders.
However, as the "head of the family," Koichi would not let anyone disturb him even if he forced Suzuna to obey him.
More importantly, he can exercise his authority as the "head of the family" over the young girls in the mansion other than Suzuna.
While indulging his passions, Koichi discovers the great secret of the Kuraki family...

Plot Introduction
The protagonist, Koichi Hayama, lost both parents at a young age and was raised by foster parents. Since childhood, he has suffered from a strange nightmare disorder where he sees a young girl he has never met floating in the air, holding a skull-like object, seemingly performing an evil ritual on him. Every time this happens, Koichi wakes up in terror and cannot fall back asleep. As time passes, the symptoms seem to worsen, and his foster parents have no choice but to take him to a psychiatrist for help.
However, the tricks of fate did not stop there. When Koichi needed care the most, his foster parents suddenly died in a car accident. During the disorienting funeral, a relative suggested that Koichi go to the Kuraki family, a prominent family in Shinshu, because Koichi was a distant relative and had a marriage engagement with them. Following this advice, Koichi headed to Shinshu to find the Kuraki estate deep in the mountains. Upon arriving, he learned that the former head of the Kuraki family, Zenjirou, had a connection with his foster parents, and the family is now controlled by his widow, Yuriko Kuraki. After Koichi explained his situation, Yuriko agreed to take him in, but on one condition: Koichi must marry her only daughter, Suzuna Kuraki. She promised that once the two were married,
the ultimate control of the Kuraki family would be handed over to him. After he agreed, he was given one month as a trial period. During this month, Koichi becomes the person in charge of the family, but will he be able to unravel the secret of the nightmare that has haunted him since childhood? Will he successfully become the future master of the Kuraki family? All of this can only be understood after you have played the game...[3]
Remake
On March 22, 2024, CARNELIAN, the original artist of "Moonlight Lady," announced that a remake is in development[4], with the remake title being"Moonlight Lady: The Twin Camellias of the Waiting Night"(Japanese:《顔のない月-待宵の双椿-》), which will feature significant changes in the script, original art, music, and voice acting.
The remake was originally scheduled for release on June 20, 2025, but was later delayed to August 29 of the same year, and then further delayed to September 26 of the same year.

- Story Synopsis
The Kuraki family, who have served as the head priestesses of the Kuraki Shrine and presided over its festivals for generations.
Suzuna Kuraki, as the daughter of the family and the current shrine maiden, has accepted her fate but feels weary of the shrine rituals.

At some point, she began having vivid dreams of union with a man after the rituals.
Due to this confusion and displeasure, she often took her anger out on those around her,
