Busy with work and dedicated to her duties, she works hard to maintain the prosperity and safety of Wuling City.
She knew the Administrator before their memory loss and holds deep respect for the Administrator as the founder of the Xirang Project. After reuniting with the Administrator, she also harbors feelings for them.
She is very fond of Long Paopao, which is a little-known hobby of hers. In the world of "Endfield," Long Paopao was designed by Zhuang Fangyi herself during her time as an apprentice Celestial Master.
Character History
Zhuang Fangyi was born in a city inside the Crater. Inspired by a civil engineering Celestial Master's question in a book—"Will the children still be able to see green mountains and blue waters?"—she decided to apply for the scientific expedition team a few years after the start of the fourth large-scale expansionary expedition, leaving her home city for the first time. While still an apprentice Celestial Master, she met the Administrator and received personal guidance from them, leaving a deep impression. In the year 142, Zhuang Fangyi witnessed the failed attempt to contain the Great Rift at the Wuling Expedition Station and the station's subsequent destruction. At a voting meeting dozens of hours later, Zhuang Fangyi and Da Pan expressed their desire to retrieve the victims' remains, but were rejected. Later, she witnessed Wuling's development from an expedition station into a city.
Now, many years later, Zhuang Fangyi has become the Manager of Wuling City and has many Celestial Master disciples. Every flood season, she personally joins the patrol guards to protect the Celestial Master Pillar array from Angel invasions.
- Main Story Chapter 2 - Phase I: Maze
Endfield Industries was invited to Wuling City to discuss cooperation. When the Administrator and others were passing through the Tianshi Pile array, a large number of Angels suddenly appeared. Zhuang Fangyi appeared in the sky in her transformed form and used thunder arts to eliminate all the Angels before returning to the main pile.
The Administrator met with Zhuang Fangyi at the main pile. She was slightly embarrassed and tucked away a Long Paopao plushie on her desk after the Administrator caught a glimpse of it. Zhuang Fangyi claimed to have met the Administrator once before, but her words hinted that their past experiences were not so simple. Regarding the changes Xirang brought to Wuling City, Zhuang Fangyi hoped the Administrator would witness them firsthand. However, as the Overzone erosion has worsened recently, the Xirang that Wuling City relies on for survival is nearly exhausted, only able to last for about three months at most. This has even forced Zhuang Fangyi to personally participate in Wuling City's border defense work. Therefore, Endfield Industries agreed to deploy an integrated industrial system in Wuling City to maintain the normal production of Xirang.

After the integrated industrial system was deployed, the Administrator met with Zhuang Fangyi at the Xirang Central Laboratory and helped the researchers solve some difficult problems. To reminisce about some memories with the Administrator, Zhuang Fangyi proposed taking the Administrator for a tour of the laboratory,PerlicaBeing busy with preparing blueprints for the Xirang production equipment and unable to go along, they wanted Chen Qianyu to go instead, but Zhuang Fangyi suggested that Chen Qianyu might also want to take a good look around Wuling City. Thus, she took the Administrator alone for a tour outside the laboratory, sharing the changes Wuling City had undergone over the years. Subsequently, a Tianshi apprentice suddenly came to report that a Tianshi Pile for performances was flying out of control. Zhuang Fangyi seemed to think of something and pulled the Administrator along to chase the pile in the city. After a series of chases, they finally caught up with the malfunctioning pile and repaired it, expressing that it felt great to have a rare chance to relax. The Administrator saw through Zhuang Fangyi's intent, realizing she had deliberately gone out to chase the pile just to have this opportunity to steal a moment of leisure. Zhuang Fangyi asked the Administrator for their opinion on Wuling, and then the two watched a grand Tianshi Pile performance together on the street. A large number of divination slips fell from the sky; the Administrator picked up a "Great Fortune" slip saying "Help from a benefactor," while Zhuang Fangyi picked up a "Middle-Low Fortune" slip saying "The scenery remains, but the person is gone"[1], the Administrator covered Zhuang Fangyi's slip with their own, wanting to share their good luck with her. Before returning to her post, Zhuang Fangyi stated that she could see the Administrator's view of Wuling from their reaction just now. She recounted the evolution of Wuling she had witnessed over the years and the reason she joined the Wuling scientific expedition team, officially welcoming the Administrator to Wuling City.
Due to a sudden interruption of the observation station's signal, Zhuang Fangyi requested the Administrator and the others to liberate the station, which had long been invaded. After succeeding, Zhuang Fangyi learned that the Chief of Qingbo StrongholdTangtangalso assisted everyone, stating that although Qingbo Stronghold and Wuling City had been at odds due to an incident ten years ago, now was the time to pull together in the same boat.

With no news from Tangtang for a long time, Zhuang Fangyi synchronized the observation station's data with the Administrator and others, noting that the data had stopped updating and commissioning them to check the situation. After the Administrator's trio defeated the Qingbo Stronghold villagers attacking the observation station, Zhuang Fangyi informed them that the villagers were also attacking the storage station and commissioned them to handle it.
After the split within Qingbo Stronghold was quelled, Zhuang Fangyi held a meeting with the visiting Tangtang, agreeing to return the captured villagers and expressing a willingness to provide aid to Qingbo Stronghold.
