Introduction
- A 2nd year student at Shimokitazawa High School (at the start of the story, now graduated). She is the bassist and composer of Kessoku Band (also responsible for backing vocals during performances),Nijika Ijichi's best friend.
- Her hobbies are very eccentric, and she is an oddball who likes being called an oddball.
- She has superb bass skills and previously served as the bassist for another band, but chose to leave voluntarily due to personality clashes.

History
Doted on by her parents since childhood, 10-year-old Ryo developed a rebellious streak against their overindulgence and decided to get into rock music—the polar opposite of their interests—to make them think she had become a delinquent, thereby reducing their interference in her life.
She used to be the bassist for another band. Ryo once loved that band's unpolished but honest lyrical style, but the other members started following trends to gain popularity. Disliking this atmosphere, Ryo chose to quit, which caused some conflict. Just as Ryo was starting to grow tired of being in a band, she received Nijika's invitation to form one, and Nijika's words reignited her interest in being in a band.
First appeared in Chapter 1 of the manga, byNijika Ijichiintroduced toGotoh Hitori, subsequently in Chapter 2 of the manga, she brought out a box labeled "Ripe Mango,"rescuing BocchiLetting Bocchi perform inside it, which helped slightly alleviate her social anxiety.[4]

In Chapter 16 of the manga, Kita discovered that her academic grades were abysmal, and it was then found that she had to start tutoring from first-year middle school knowledge. After studying for a while, she successfully passed the exam with a perfect score.However, she seemingly forgot how to play the bass and even aspired to get into the University of Tokyo.
In Chapter 29 of the manga, because she was stuck in a slump with composing, she didn't go to her part-time job at the Livehouse or to school for a long time. The other members of Kessoku Band found her camping in her own backyard. She told them she was worried the band would disband because her composing wasn't going well, but she eventually regained her inspiration through the band's improvisation, comfort, and encouragement.
In Chapter 77 of the manga, she graduated from Shimokitazawa High School (at graduation, she was asked to pay back money by a bunch of "creditors"). After graduation, Ryo chose not to pursue further education, so she is currently unemployed, but she still often goes to Houbun University to hang out with Nijika.
In Chapter 83 of the manga, it is mentioned that because she is unemployed, her parents constantly urge her to live independently and work when she is at home. Therefore, she cannot stay at home at all during the day; Ryo has to leave before sunrise and can only return after her parents have fallen asleep. Since she would be kicked out by her parents if she didn't find a place to live, she looked for an apartment accompanied by Nijika and Yoyoko. After many searches failed to find an ideal place, she eventually found a new residence in Saitama.
