Subaru Awa（Japanese:
Introduction
A girl attending a performing arts school. She is quite promising and appears in commercials.Suspected to be the one with the highest educational background in the team.
A sociable and amiable beautiful girl. She takes pride in her beauty, which wouldn't be out of place for a model, but deep down, she is a competitive young lady.
She can see through others' thoughts and will make concessions when necessary, thus complying with her family's expectations for her.
She knows how to mediate arguments within the team in a flexible way and is socially adept, but because of this smooth handling, she is called a "liar" by Nina.
Although it's not apparent on a daily basis, she actually loves playing video games and is very serious and competitive; if she loses or is interrupted, her mood becomes very sour, and she even argues with people online[1]. She often stays up late playing games, which delays band practice, and has been criticized by Momoka for this many times.[2]。
Subaru's name is taken from her grandmother's famous work, "すばる。》。

Her grandmother is the famous actress "Tendo Awa." Under family expectations, she was enrolled in a performing arts school, though she didn't actually want to become an actress. Accepting the family's arrangements with this mindset, she secretly joined the light music club and formed a band during high school as a small act of rebellion. When Momoka decided to form a band, she recruited her as the drummer. During this time, she had heard things about Nina, but for various reasons, Nina felt some pressure during their first meeting. While spending time with Nina, she sensed that Nina was keeping her distance; despite her attempts to find topics to get closer, she was still pushed away. When she left her phone at Momoka's house and Momoka asked Nina to return it for her, she tried to get Nina to stay. After being rejected, she bluntly asked, "Would it be better if I quit?", which prompted Nina to reveal her true feelings. During their conversation, she shared some of her past and current goals; after this, her relationship with Nina softened, and her way of addressing her changed to "NI~NA[3]」。 While practicing with the band as usual, she left in a hurry one day due to a sudden visit from her grandmother. The next day, she told Nina she was "quitting the band," which led to Nina and Momoka showing up at her door to confront her. After doing her best to gloss over the fact that she was in a band in front of her grandmother, she received an offer for a new acting role recommended by her grandmother. Since it was only a short-term role (filming could be completed in a week), she decided to return to the band after finishing the shoot. During a heart-to-heart with Nina, she confessed that although she didn't want to be an actress, she still wanted to work hard to see her grandmother's smile. In the past, she had thought about making her grandmother believe she had no talent so she would give up on her, but this instead made her grandmother even more expectant of her performance. Despite this, she expressed that she likes being in a band with them, so she decided to confess everything to her grandmother after the filming was completed. However, just as she was about to confess, Nina interrupted her by changing the subject (thinking it was too early). She seemingly didn't understand Nina's erratic thoughts, but she knew in her heart that this wasn't the best solution, so she resolved to make a choice sooner or later. Currently, she maintains a state of balancing both acting and band activities. In Episode 9, after her door was kicked down by RUPA, she angrily kicked the other four out of her house for freeloading on her air conditioning and stated, "Don't ever come back again."However, later when Nina was trying to avoid her parents, she still let her in to stay for a night. In Episode 10, seeing Nina's state after having made up her mind and no longer being lost, she also began to think about what she should do. Upon receiving a text message from her grandmother asking if she could participate in an audition for a new play, Subaru made her decision. At the music festival, she confessed to Nina that she had already rejected the audition arranged by her grandmother and decided to be in the band with this group of people (even if they didn't succeed this time). During the official Live, she no longer hid her name and formally said, "I am Subaru Awa." |

The one who received the fewest anonymous letters in the band's anonymous suggestion box.[1]- Her official birthday is April 27th, and the broadcast date of Episode 4 of GIRLS BAND CRY was also April 27th, 2024. The plot of that episode also revolved around Subaru.
- Her frequently used game account nickname is "Pleia (プレア)"[5]), and she also used this name in band activities to avoid revealing her real name. It wasn't until Episode 11 that she finally used her real name when introducing herself.
