简介
1968年12月，美国正深陷越南战争的泥潭当中，然而此时候任总统尼克松的女儿与前总统艾森豪威尔的孙子正举行着一场盛大的婚礼。[1]在看到众多名流出席婚礼后，约翰·福格蒂（John Fogerty）为他们对战争的漠视感到愤怒，并决定创造出这首抨击征兵制度不公的歌曲。[2]1969年，约翰·福格蒂只花了20分钟，便创作出了这首《Fortunate Son》（幸运儿/幸运之子），并于9月份发行。[1]

在ACG作品中的使用例
在歌曲发行后，由于这首歌辛辣地讽刺与抨击了政客子弟不参军，自己风光无限中饱私囊却送平民去死的现象[3]，这首歌被广泛用于各种社会活动[4]，使得其成为了越南战争的代表性歌曲，并在之后有关越南战争的文娱作品当中使用，ACG作品在涉及越南战争场景时便常使用这首歌曲：
- 《战地风云 越南》在游戏开头使用了此曲，也可设定为游戏中的BGM；
- 《战地风云 叛逆连队2》在《战地风云：叛逆连队2：越南》DLC的预告片及游戏首页、电台中使用；
- 《使命召唤：黑色行动》在设定于溪山战役的研究观察组（S.O.G.）关卡开始时使用；
- 《侠盗猎车手5》中被用作游戏内电台之一的洛圣都摇滚台中的曲目之一。
- 《恶搞之家》中格伦·奎麦尔在参加越战时不管在什么场景都总是能听到这首歌，甚至在去军中乐园的时候名场面：时大时小的《Fortunate Son》；
